The Alabama Propane Gas Association has been partnering with GeneratioNext Propane Pros since 2021 and we are delighted with the results of the program. This workforce development program brings great value to our membership as an aging workforce is one of our industry’s greatest challenges in preparing for the future. Michelle has been able to provide propane marketers throughout our state with qualified candidates and numerous hires. In Alabama, we currently have over 350 active CDL and HVAC candidates looking for hire today! I would encourage everyone in the propane industry to take advantage of this invaluable resource.

The goal of the Propane Marketers Association of Kansas (PMAK) is to support our members and continue to bring them value. The PMAK staff is always saying,” What can PMAK do for you and your business?” Nine out of ten times when we speak with our members, their immediate concern is their workforce. Our members spoke and we listened. By investing in GeneratioNext Propane Pros, we are able to provide our members with a solution. GeneratioNext Propane Pros is an incredible partner and advocate for our industry. Through their outreach sessions to CDL and HVAC programs, community colleges, and adult education programs, they have provided our members with hundreds of qualified candidates for hire. Propane companies are hiring and interviewing candidates as a result of their efforts and we are excited to continue this invaluable partnership!

I may be biased, however, I believe GeneratioNext Propane Pros is the top Workforce Recruitment Program currently developed in the industry. In less than a year, our program in Pennsylvania has built a database of nearly 200 applicants seeking propane career opportunities. Several propane marketers have hiring success stories with more connecting with prospective employees every day.

As with many, our members are faced with the challenge of finding employees during a mass labor shortage. To assist our members in finding future employees, the Illinois Propane Gas Association partnered with GeneratioNext Propane Pros and Vets2Techs. GeneratioNext Propane Pros has done an excellent job educating students within CDL and trade school programs about potential career opportunities in the propane industry. This recruitment program also targets veterans. Jesse with Vets2Techs has developed a program to bring propane career opportunities to veterans as well. With over five hundred applicants in less than six months, both parts of this workforce development have been a great success. I look forward to working with Michelle and Jesse and seeing the growth we can accomplish moving forward!

As the Executive Vice President of the Propane Marketers Association of Kansas, the PMAK staff works to add value to our members every day. The single biggest concern propane companies have is their aging workforce, but I am proud to say we are now able to provide Kansas propane companies with a solution! The investment in GeneratioNext Propane Pros is a no brainer. In just a few short months, we already have propane companies interviewing and hiring qualified candidates as a result of the outreach sessions GeneratioNext Propane Pros conducts. We look forward to continuing to partner with GeneratioNext Propane Pros and solving our industry’s workforce challenge.

With the average age of a CDL driver and HVAC technician being 55 years old, it is no surprise that propane companies are concerned with the aging workforce. The Missouri Propane Gas Association and Arkansas Propane Gas Association are thrilled to partner with GeneratioNext Propane Pros to help us solve one of our industry’s greatest challenges. Not only does GeneratioNext Propane Pros conduct outreach sessions with CDL programs, HVAC schools, community colleges, and adult education programs, but they provide a portal where propane companies can both search for qualified candidates and post jobs. The numbers speak for themselves, we already have over 125 qualified candidates and a dozen hires! We look forward to continuing to work with Michelle and provide propane companies in Missouri and Arkansas with this incredible program!

One of the biggest challenges our members face is the workforce shortage. The New York Propane Gas Association partnered with GeneratioNext Propane Pros to combat this challenge, connecting propane marketers with qualified candidates for hire. With over 200 candidates in a few short months, propane marketers have been able to find their next hire. After sitting in on an outreach session, it’s clear why the program is a success. HVAC and CDL students are educated on the career opportunities available in the propane industry and get to speak with an employer. During my first outreach session the instructor even asked about incorporating our CETP training into his curriculum. I would highly recommend taking advantage of this exciting resource.

When we completed our initial workforce recruitment project, we know we did well in our outreach to military veterans and bases with several dozen applicants. However, we were impressed with the numbers we heard GeneratioNext Propane Pros and Vets 2 Techs achieved in other areas, and the Ohio Propane Gas Association decided to give them an opportunity to do the same in Ohio. In the first few short months, they have already generated over 100 applicants – the majority of whom have a CDL already!

The single greatest concern I hear from propane employers across the state is the challenge of finding qualified drivers and technicians. GeneratioNext Propane Pros is one of our solutions. The program provides our industry a way to connect with the next generation and educate them on the benefits of a career in the propane industry. I would highly recommend all propane marketers throughout Louisiana take advantage of this exciting resource.

The Alabama Propane Gas Association is excited to be working with V.E.T.S. and GeneratioNext Propane Pros to educate and recruit prospective employees to the propane industry. We believe that Jesse Lord and Michelle Wilson will add great value to our current workforce development initiative. Having access to their knowledge of recruitment among the military and student populations should provide great value to the industry. We hope that providing this benefit to the industry in Alabama will successfully increase our workforce and allow our industry members to focus more on customer service than the daunting task of finding qualified employees.
